Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
VanSolarCalc is built to be private by default. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect or sell personal information. This page explains exactly what happens with your data.
Your calculations stay in your browser
The calculator runs entirely on your device. The appliances, locations, and settings you enter are processed in your browser and are never sent to us. When you share a build, the numbers are encoded into the link itself (in the URL) — we do not store that link or its contents on any server.
Local storage
We use your browser's local storage for one thing: remembering whether you prefer light or dark mode. This never leaves your device and contains no personal data. Clearing your browser storage removes it.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. It is privacy-first: it does not use cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not track you across other sites. We see counts and trends, not individuals.
Cookies
VanSolarCalc sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The only client-side storage is the theme preference described above.
Third parties
The site is served through Cloudflare, which may process request metadata (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the site, as any web host does. The PDF parts list is generated in your browser when you click the button; no server is involved. We do not embed third-party advertising networks.
Children
VanSolarCalc is a technical tool for adults planning a vehicle build and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Material changes will be reflected here on this page.
